At Homestead Craftsman we provide unique and innovative accessories for your home or office in the style and tradition of the Arts & Crafts Movement.  We specialize in high quality home and office décor pieces including wastebaskets, coat racks, book ends, CD holders, wine racks, desk sets, serving trays, and others. Many of our pieces have Pewabic or Motawi tiles incorporated into their design. We also offer many styles of frames for your pictures and artwork. Each piece created to compliment your existing Arts & Crafts Style furniture.

All pieces are of the highest quality and are made to order.  We hand select each piece of lumber to take advantage of the natural beauty of the grain, and carefully craft your piece by hand in our studio.

Whether it be mortise & tenon, tongue & groove, splined miters or dovetails, our joinery techniques are true to the Arts & Crafts period. These techniques have withstood the test of time and are acknowledged as some of strongest and most beautiful woodworking joints available.

While the details of our finishing process are proprietary, we can say that we employ a variety of materials & processes including: water-based aniline dyes, fuming, natural shellac, waxes and modern polyurethanes, depending on the nature of the piece.  Whatever the case may be, the finish is intended to enhance the appearance yet provide the proper protection.
